Our resident Podiatrist (also known as a Chiropodist) Michele Pyne, can assess, diagnose and treat problems of the foot and lower leg below the knee.
Michele’s specialist skills are also focused on tending to minor infections, ailments, defects and injuries, as well as foot and nail conditions relating to other major health disorders, e.g. diabetes.
Michele will always make a full assessment prior to treatment to enable her to tailor her services to the individual’s needs.
Michele offers both routine and specialist foot care treatments, including –
- Nail trimming / reduction of thickened nails
- Fungal infections of the nail and skin
- Diabetes related foot problems
- Padding and strapping (deflection of weight from ulcers, painful joints etc.)

- Footwear advise
- Plantar fasciitis, biomechanics

- Nail surgery using local anesthetic
- Nail reconstruction (for fungal and damaged nails)
- Warm wax therapy treatment
Nail reconstruction is a procedure offered to patients requiring cosmetic improvement to a fungal or damaged nail. This process can achieve fabulous results and assists in clearing fungal infections.
Warm Wax Therapy Treatment
Therapeutic warm wax baths are designed to treat the following conditions –
- Eczema and psoriasis
- Sore muscles
- Stiff joints
- Poor circulation
- Heel and arch pain
- Scar tissue
- Muscle spasm
- Sports injuries
- Plantar fasciitus.
The paraffin wax heat therapy increases the blood flow, tolerance to pain, relaxes the muscle and increases hydration in the skin. It will moisturise and soften the skin while providing therapeutic and healing effect to sore and aching joints.
This relaxing therapy can be added to any podiatry treatment although is not suitable for diabetic patients. Your treatment will be finished with a therapeutic foot massage.
